I had the pleasure of skip-level managing Will at Thrive and was consistently impressed by his thoughtfulness, integrity, and commitment to quality. Will brings a rare combination of deep design craft and a humble, collaborative spirit that makes everyone around him better.

He led the Leafkit design system with care and precision, enabling teams to work faster and more consistently. He also prioritized accessibility and global inclusion, not because it was required, but because it was the right thing to do.

I had the pleasure of hiring and managing William Huynh as he led the creation of our design system from the ground up. William is one of those rare designers who brings both craft and enablement to the table; his work was consistently high quality, thoughtfully accessible, and always aimed at unblocking and accelerating product teams.

He was an exceptional collaborator, not just within the design team but across disciplines. Engineers absolutely loved working with him; he was clear, responsive, and always a few steps ahead when it came to anticipating edge cases or constraints. His systems work brought much-needed consistency and cohesion to our product, and he helped raise the overall quality bar through thoughtful documentation and tooling.

Will is an absolute joy to work with. He's thoughtful, dedicated, and just one of those people that levels up the entire team. We met regularly while I was running Product at Thrive and he was the lead designer on our design system. I know our design team was so grateful for his thorough and responsive work. I'd recommend Will in a heartbeat for any team.

I was fortunate enough to work with with William at Thrive on both our product and brand design teams. William is one of the rare designers that brings far more thought and attention to detail to the table than is required or remotely asked for. I’ve never worked with anyone else so thoughtful, deliberate, meticulous in their work and so empathetic and open minded in their collaboration.

This attention to detail elevates the systems and design processes we all use as a team and collectively elevates everyone’s work. He brings an engineers rigor to the design process that creates efficient systems that scale broadly across organizations, yet he’s always willing, open, and actively looking for team input to help shape the work he’s doing. It’s not often you find someone who can simultaneously work and collaborate at that high of a level. William is absolutely a force multiplier in design

I have had the enormous pleasure to work with William during my time at Thrive Global, and I can't speak highly enough of his enthusiasm and desire to put out phenomenal work. While he was never on my direct team, he had a unique "jack of all trades" ability to work with every PM at Thrive, supporting the whole product via the design system, input for accessibility, localization - and more.

If something needed to be scalable across the app, he was the one to do to to make sure it would fit in. Any team needing someone to help connect the dots and be a partner in design (and crime lol), would benefit from William.

William was the designer for the web platform team I lead during my time at Thrive. He was my partner in crime on the design side, and the bridge between engineering and design. I loved his dedication to real world UX and development concerns, such as accessibility, component design, documentation, making sure devs are involved in the decisions and more. He made sure to understand the engineering constraints and was constantly improving our processes.

Any team would be lucky to have him.

William has been an incredible mentor, especially during my first time working on design systems at a large company. I already had experience with design systems, but stepping into a dedicated role at that scale came with new challenges. William helped me level up quickly, not by giving me all the answers, but by guiding me through the right questions and helping me think more strategically.

He’s the kind of person who makes complex problems feel manageable. He’s clear, patient, and intentional in the way he explains things, whether it’s token structure, accessibility decisions, or figuring out how product features and systems should intersect. His passion for the work is contagious, and he brings a thoughtful, collaborative energy to every conversation.

What I appreciated most was how much he truly cared about helping me grow. He never made assumptions, never rushed through answers, and always created space for open discussion. It felt like a real partnership, not a one-way mentorship.

Will is a great asset to our Digital Experience team at Wpromote. He is able to give thoughtful and informed recommendations for our clients in both UX/UI and design. He is a team player and takes anything I throw at him with a smile. He loves to collaborate as much as possible and is proactive in looking at new ways to bring better, effective digital experiences to our clients.

He has helped in a wide range of verticals including Financial Services, Retail/Ecommerce and more. He is also great in presenting his ideas and recommendations to our clients first-hand, which makes for a very strong asset to any team. Lastly, he has a very positive attitude to the work he is engaged in, and makes having Will a pleasure to work with!

Working with William has been a highlight of my time here at Thrive! From the very beginning, he played a key role in helping onboard me to the design team. He was endlessly patient, always willing to jump on a call to walk through the details of our Leafkit design system, and never made any question feel too small. William has a natural way of making you feel supported, and his kindness and calm energy set the tone for great collaboration.

Beyond that, William is one of the most thoughtful and detail-oriented design systems experts I’ve worked with. He has deep knowledge of accessibility and never hesitated to dive into the specifics of what made our components meet various standards. He was proactive in asking for feedback, and I always enjoyed jamming with him to polish visuals and push our system further. Any design org, especially one navigating enterprise complexity or accessibility requirements, would be lucky to have him.
